Financial Aid

Okay, I’m a stay-at-home mom and my main priority is to nurture and educate my children. However, it’s my personal belief that children are best raised in a caring community with lots of interesting adults and children. Unfortunately, I don’t live next door to my family nor to my spiritual community.

The Sibley Learning Center is my attempt at creating an educational community for my children and like-minded others. I don’t really make a profit on any of the work that I do because I put the money back into educational resources for myself and my students and maintaining the classroom.

With that being said, I don’t think it’s very community-minded to turn interested folks away for lack of financial resources. It’s easy to just charge folks the same price for the same services, but the reality is, we all have different financial situations. Twenty dollars can be pocket change for one family but grocery money for another.

So, in the spirit of developing a truly interdependent community, I am willing to entertain almost anything. If you look on the Wish List page, you’ll find some options for bartering. If you are low on time and finances, feel free to talk with me about what your needs are and we’ll see what we can do.

Because the Center isn’t endowed by any rich friends or relatives (yet), this is my best response for those who ask me about financial aid. I hope it works for you.
