The Multi-age Music Playgroup begins March 25, 2010 – April 29, 2010 from 9:00  – 9:30 a.m. Please e-mail me on the Contact Us page to register.

The Multi-age Music Playgroup is most beneficial for ages 18 months and up, but younger babes in arms are always welcome to hang out with us for free!

Activities will include playing with rhythm instruments, dancing to the beat, listening games, singing, acting out rhymes and fingerplays, musical games, and exploring contemporary children’s and classical music together.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with my musical background, I have played the violin for over 20 years, am learning to play the guitar and I love to help children explore the connections between music, phonemic awareness and early literacy.

The cost is $5 per child, per individual class. There is a sibling discount; feel free to inquire about it if you are interested in bringing more than one child to our music classes.

The only requirements are that you participate in the activities with your child and pay on time. I see my role as a facilitator to help encourage and enrich your musical family life both inside and outside of class time. Consider our one half-hour a week together as an interactive educational opportunity for you to reinforce at home, for your child to gain the maximum benefit. I try to e-mail all of the lyrics to our songs, rhymes and fingerplays to you after each class.
